On June 15, 2023, Massimo Bugani—Bologna’s Councillor for Digital Agenda—spoke at the WeMakeFuture tech fair in Rimini, highlighting the strategic role of geospatial data in building smarter cities. During his talk, he introduced INVENTO, a flagship example of digital innovation and data-driven urban infrastructure management. For the past 8 years, INVENTO has served as Bologna’s central platform for data exchange and repository services related to underground infrastructure and citywide technology networks. It enables efficient coordination, planning, and monitoring across public and private stakeholders.
